Introducing Squishyhead
PDP, the Professional Development Program, is Simon Fraser University's teacher training program. My cohort started in January, 2006, and hopefully we will all graduate by December 2006. My particular module is LLUC, Language and Literacy in the Urban Classroom. We are looking at ways to incorporate literacy learning into all areas of the curriculum
The LLUC module is a diverse group, with different reasons for wanting to teach, but we all have a passion for children and teaching that is driving us through our coursework and our practicum time. What has struck me the most about our group is how willingly we share information and resources. Overwhelmingly, there is a spirit within this class of cooperation, not of competitiveness. I have really appreciated that.
I want to honour that spirit by providing a list of links that we have shared with each other. Please take a moment to bookmark the links you are interested in. I can't guarantee that I will keep this page up for very long, as I am using it as a tool to explore web design.
If you have any links you think should be added, please email me at keriw at sfu dot ca .
